Scheme Construction Planning

At RWA we have significant experience in supporting contractors and local authorities in designing solutions and plans that ensure works can be completed cost effectively, traffic can be efficiently managed, and vulnerable road users can navigate the site safely and easily during the construction period. This often involves reviewing existing infrastructure and identifying areas that can be re-used to reduce costs and simplify construction. We are able to produce Traffic Management plans in line with Chapter 8, and are adept at designing modifications to existing traffic signal installations to allow them to manage traffic effectively through various phases of works.

Temporary Traffic Signal Design

We are familiar with varying types of temporary traffic signal products, and area able to design and specify them to best suit the management of temporary works. More and more Local Authorities require that temporary lights are installed that support complex method of controls, and can be operated via UTC. We have a significant amount of experience in negotiating with Local Authorities to agree the best method of temporary signal control and supporting that Local Authority in bringing UTC temporary signals onto their network.
