Traffic Modelling

Specialising in local junction modelling and microsimulation models, at Red Wilson Associates we understand the importance of robust traffic model assessments to understand the impact of schemes and proposals on the road network. We have extensive experience in calibrating and validating models to ensure that they accurately represent conditions on the network.

Integrated Modelling

RWA offer a variety of traffic modelling services from local junction modelling to microsimulation. We specialise in LinSig and VISSIM and also have extensive training in Transyt. Coupled with our design capabilities, we develop individual junction and network-wide models to assist local authorities and developers in understanding the impact of their schemes and proposals. Using an iterative and integrated approach, our modellers and designers work together to get the most out of the junction design and recognise opportunities to improve capacity and infrastructure for a variety of road users.

Modelling Guidelines

With extensive knowledge of local authority model guidelines including the TfL Model Audit Process and Highways England WebTAG we always ensure we have the correct data to ensure the base modelling is representative of existing conditions. We understand that these guidelines are in place for a fair assessment of all schemes by local authorities and that they help to ensure the models represent base conditions, in order that the assessment is worthwhile and valuable to our clients.
